I was in bed by 8:30 on New Year’s eve. That weekend, we had guests. We also had some lost people from Minnesota spend one night. The next day, the dad and one girl sledded out to get their stuff from where they stayed the night before. They were supposed to come back and pick up the other two. It got so late and we hadn’t heard from them, that Isaiah called the sheriff’s department and Search and Rescue was notified. By 9:30 p.m. the missing guests showed up, paid their bill, and headed out for the two-hour drive into town. The dad was not too smart. We were annoyed. A few days ago, we were done before 4:00 p.m. - a rare occurrence. Isaiah and I went for a ride on the Bearcat. It was beautiful, just before sunset, clear, and with a full moon. Moose were everywhere. We even had a two-year-old moose block the road for some time. We thought it was going to lie down, but finally it moved off with its mother. The whole town office is coming out tonight and staying tomorrow. Supposedly, we are supposed to all have fun and nobody work. We’ll see how that goes. *I didn’t have many photos from December-February, so the title “photo” is an AI-generated image from Canva.
