Without telling my parents, I’ve been planning a multi-year road trip through the United States. The first step was finding a seasonal job for this fall. To celebrate my graduation from the University of South Carolina with a Masters in Library and Information Science, my parents took me on a road trip from North Carolina to Florida by way of Charleston, Savannah, and St. Augustine. While in Savannah, I accepted an offer from the Gone Ridin’ Ranch near Jackson Hole, WY. They want me to arrive during the first week of August, giving me two weeks to work out the logistics of a 30-hour road trip. I’m short on cash and long on camping experiences, so I’m going to tent camp my way across the nation. Oh, and I have to find a way to tell my parents.
