I was raised on tent camping and road trips in the southeastern U.S. After grad school, I completed a 5-year solo expedition around the continental United States, camping and working my way to each destination.
I have visited six countries and over 30 states. Nowadays, I mix up solo travel with couples travel. I still like tent camping, but am getting spoiled by my husband’s preference for $200/night hotels. I always journaled my travel experiences, so travel writing was a natural extension of that. Even so, there are so many interesting things in life that I find it impossible to commit to a niche. From fashion for plus-sized pear-shaped women under five feet tall to documenting the phenophases of tulip trees to philosophical musings, I write about what I find interesting. |
