I started looking for an apartment. I found one I liked and set up a viewing. The hour before we were to meet, they called and said they couldn’t find the key, so we rescheduled for tomorrow morning. *Photo is a stock photo from Canva, but this is about the level of housing the MCC living stipend allowed for, unless I could find roommates, which I couldn't.

My plane from Charlotte was delayed because of weather in Minneapolis. The plane was coming from Minneapolis to Charlotte, then going back again. We got in the air an hour late, then were delayed from landing because of weather. We landed when my connection was supposed to be leaving, but it was delayed just long enough for me to use the bathroom and get a bagel for supper. April Fool’s passed with no incident. I had to write Isaiah an email telling him not to write “love” or anything similar anymore or I wouldn’t talk to him anymore. The whole situation is very uncomfortable, although I feel better since sending the email. I tried to behave properly and say the right things, but it wasn’t enough. Of course I made mistakes; looking back, I can see some and as I get older, I’m sure I’ll see more. Still, they were difficult circumstances and I did the best I could at the time. I wish this were over and I didn’t have to think about it or even remember it often. *Photo is mine from 2015. |
